Local Actions, Global Goals

An Evening with d’Arcy Lunn
November 4th in Kogarah

Wednesday, 4 November, 2015
19:00 - 20:00

St George Community Centre, Kogarah

In September of this year, the United Nations launched an initiative whose aim is no less ambitious than to transform the world within 15 years – the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. A detailed blueprint it demands that governments work together to free the human race of the scourge of extreme poverty and to heal our injured planet, in the process overcoming the effects of climate change.

But what of us? What role do “ordinary people” have to play in the war on poverty and in the solution to climate change?

An extraordinary Adelaide man has the answers to these questions. Since his graduation from University over a decade ago, aid worker, adventurer and educator, d’Arcy Lunn has travelled to over 70 countries, teaching over 40,000 individuals how the smallest decisions they make and the actions they take can have positive impacts on a global level.

Join us in the centre of Kogarah on Wednesday November 4th (the day after Melbourne Cup day) to understand how by acting locally you too can be an effective global citizen.

The event is free but RSVPs are essential. Please do so by following the link to the Eventbrite website above.
Light refreshments will be served.
