Oxfam Australia in partnership with Campaign for Australian Aid would like to invite you to the Higgins Candidates Forum – Climate and Poverty.

From crippling droughts to rising seas, the cost of digging and burning coal is being measured in more hunger, communities forced from their land and homes, and entrenched poverty.

We know that climate change and global poverty are two key issues of our time. We also know the decisions made in our next parliament will have a dramatic effect on our ability to tackle these key challenges.

This event is an opportunity for the voters of Higgins to examine the polices of the candidates for the upcoming election and explore these key challenges with special guests.

In attendance:

  • Dr Helen Szoke, Oxfam Australian CEO (MC)
  • Dr Simon Bradshaw, Climate Change Expert
  • Fiona McLeod, Labor Candidate for Higgins
  • Jason Ball, Greens Candidate for Higgins
