Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen has announced Labor will rebuild Australia’s international development by $1.6b if successful at the Federal election.

Labor has taken a positive step to rebuild Australia’s international development. 

Following six consecutive cuts to development assistance by the Coalition, our contribution to solving some of the world’s biggest challenges has never been lower. Labor’s commitment to rebuilding Australia’s development program means more children in our region would have the opportunity to attend school, drink clean water and live free from violence. Labor is the first major party to show leadership to rebuild Australia’s international development.
