In just over a week, world leaders will meet in Paris to create a new global agreement that could stop catastrophic climate change. The commitments made so far signify progress, but are not enough to stop disastrous climate change..
The world is facing the hottest decade on record and people living in poverty are being hurt first and hardest.
That’s why we will come together in the lead up to the Paris summit in cities across Australia to show our nation’s political leaders the diverse support for stronger climate action.
We’ve known it for some time now. We can’t make poverty history unless we also make carbon pollution history.
The Campaign for Australian Aid movement will walk with Indigenous peoples, faith leaders, doctors, unionists, workers, families and so many others who are standing in unity to show what real leadership on climate looks like.
We will wear RED to represent people living in poverty who are facing the impacts of climate change. So bring your friends, paint your face, make a banner and get creative. This is going to be a historic moment.
